01Who you are dealing with

FAMELESS is an Australian project making numbered collectible trading cards from photographs people supply.

These terms are between you and Thomas Oliver, ABN 42 374 404 596, of 24 The Esplanade, Narrabeen NSW 2101, Australia — trading as FAMELESS.

02What you are buying

A physical card, printed and posted to you. The free preview on this site is a preview: it is not the finished card, and small differences between a screen and printed foil stock are normal.

Series 001 is limited to 500 numbered cards. When they are gone that design is not printed again. The number allocated to your card is yours and is not reissued.

Numbers are allocated in order, on payment. You cannot choose your number. If we replace a damaged card it keeps its original number — the number belongs to the card, not to the print run.

03Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars at checkout before you pay. A single card is A$49 and a pair is A$99; group pricing is not on sale yet. Payment is taken by Stripe on its own hosted page.

The price you see is the price you pay: it is GST-inclusive, and postage within Australia is included. There is nothing added at the end.

04The photograph you upload

By ordering you confirm that:

  • You have the right to use the photograph you upload.
  • Everyone identifiable in it is happy to appear on a card.
  • Where the card is of a child, you are their parent or guardian and you consent on their behalf.

You keep ownership of your photograph. You give us permission to use it for the purpose of making, printing and delivering your card, and for the card's own page if you have one.

We do not use your images to advertise ourselves unless you say we may. Showing your photograph or your finished card in FAMELESS advertising, social posts or other marketing needs your separate, explicit consent — its own tickbox at checkout, never preselected, never a condition of buying, and withdrawable for future use at any time. For a child's card that consent must come from the parent or guardian. See Privacy.

Your entry in the Register is a third, separate decision again. Sharing your own card is entirely yours to do.

05Our right to decline

FAMELESS may decline to produce any card and refund the order in full, at our discretion, and we do not have to give a reason. If we decline, you get your money back promptly and in full. That is the whole of it — there is no charge, no partial refund and no argument.

Nothing you type is blocked while you are ordering. Your card is personal: the name, the nickname and what you tell us about someone is the entire thing you are buying, so we do not filter it, rewrite it or stop you at the keyboard. Every card is then looked at by a person before it is printed. That review is where we decide, and this clause is what we decide with.

In practice we decline photographs we do not believe you have the right to use, cards of children ordered without a guardian's confirmation, and cards that attack a real named person who did not choose to be on one. Swearing, crude jokes and a brutal roast of someone who is in on it are not on that list.

A number is only allocated once a payment succeeds, so an order we decline before that never consumed one. If we decline after allocation, the number is voided rather than resold — it is spent, and the Register records it as void.

06Delivery

Cards are posted within Australia, or collected from a participating venue where that option is offered at checkout.

We do not promise a delivery date. Cards are made in batches and posted when a batch is finished, and we would rather say that than quote a date we cannot control. We do not ship outside Australia.

07Cancellations, returns and remedies

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality and match their description.

Change of mind. Every FAMELESS card is personalised and made to order, so an order becomes final once payment is completed. It cannot be cancelled, changed or returned for change of mind after that. Please check your preview carefully — that is what it is for.

If something is wrong. Email hello@fameless.au within 30 days of delivery if your card arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the order you approved. We will assess it and provide a replacement, a repair or a refund as appropriate.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

08Your card's page and its QR code

Each printed card carries a QR code that resolves to a page for that card. We intend that code to keep working.

The code opens your card's entry in the Register. What that entry shows is your decision, not ours: without your separate consent to public display it carries no name and no portrait at all. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and the entry stops showing them immediately. We intend the code to keep resolving, but we do not put a number of years on it.

09Our own material

The FAMELESS name, the card design, the frame, the connected back artwork and this website are ours. Buying a card does not transfer them. You are free to photograph your own card and put it wherever you like.

10Liability and law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

11Changes

These terms are provisional and will be replaced by a reviewed set before Series 001 goes on sale. The effective date at the top will change when they are. How we handle your photograph is set out in our Privacy page.
